Payroll 941 updates are available

In accordance with the newly signed American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, a modified Form 941 for TRAVERSE and OSAS is now available.   New  Federal withholding tables and Federal Earned Income Credit (EIC) tables were released in February.

The Form 941 was modified to account for COBRA health care continuation premium assistance.  Under this provision, payroll plays a large role in helping the federal government subsidize up to 65 percent of the cost of nine months' worth of health insurance premiums for workers involuntarily separated after Aug. 31, 2008, and before Jan. 1, 2010.  For more information, please visit www.irs.gov.

The modified 941 program and new tax table updates are available to OSAS or TRAVERSE customers who are current on their annual software maintenance plan.
